Leadership and Learning in Organizations capstone project
This capstone project aimed to assist a non-profit organization whose mission is to support foster youth by exploring issues and potential solutions surrounding the educational needs of foster children who are awaiting placement. By utilizing document analysis and a structured interview process, we were able to triangulate qualitative data and identify the factors contributing to this complex problem in the organization including limited staff and volunteer capacity and lacking accountability structures. Recommendations focused on practical action steps backed by research that could be explored by organization leaders to drive effective interventions for foster youth.
