Leadership and Learning in Organizations capstone project
The purpose of this capstone project was to assist a virtual reality company in identifying the challenges of their current sales onboarding program and develop new and creative solutions to increase time to productivity through socialization and transfer. Through data collection of observation, interviews and focus groups, gaps in the orienting practices were identified. While it was suspected that these issues were related to the remote workforce, virtual environment, and multiple time zones, this study revealed that most challenges of the current onboarding program are instead based on foundational socialization practices.
