Teaching and Learning Department capstone projecten_US
The three main sections of this capstone demonstrate my successful completion of the Masters of Education in English Language Learners program (international track) and how my coursework meets EFL TESOL standards. The first section, philosophy of teaching, discusses three main points that guide how I view and enact quality EFL instruction. Culturally responsive pedagogy, student driven language instruction, and communicative language teaching are the three main elements that I attempt to use to guide my instruction and evaluate the artifacts presented in the second section. The second section, artifact analysis, examines different pieces of my work to illustrate that I am sufficiently prepared in four professional knowledge areas and their TESOL domains. The final section, application to practice, examines my overall progress of enacting my teaching philosophy, recognizes areas for continued growth, and outlines specific steps that will support personal professional development.en_US
