Laura Carpenter, Associate Professor of Sociology, speaks at the Nashville Public Library on Mar. 3, 2010, as part of the Thinking Out of the Lunch Box series co-sponsored by Vanderbilt and the public library. Carpenter wrote the 2005 book Virginity Lost: An Intimate Portrait of First Sexual Experiences. She uses video clips to illustrate her points. Professor of Philosophy David Wood introduces Carpenter and moderates a question and answer session after her lecture.
