Includes descriptive metadata provided by producer in MP4 file: "The Non-Violence Struggle - Video - The Rev James Lawson The Non-Violence Struggle 9-11-2007 2 of 2." Videorecording of a class session. Lawson discusses what he sees as structural violence--deaths due to police, poverty, unsafe workplaces, etc. He speaks of racism as a wickedness in the "invisible world" of the human soul. The episode about Denmark from the television series A force more powerful, which is about Danes' non-cooperation with Nazis in World War II, is discussed but not seen on the podcast. Lawson discusses the futility of violence as political policy. There is considerable student participation but it is difficult to hear.
