Carole Bartoo reports on the Shade Tree Clinic, a free health clinic for Nashville residents with limited resources that is staffed by Vanderbilt medical students, and their sponsorship of the boys' football team the East Side Bobcats. Vanderbilt's Wilderness Skills (WilSkills) course, a student-run, non-credit course which combines academic study with practical experience in the wilderness, is featured. The birth of a second child to usual VUCast anchor Amy Wolf is announced. Lewis reports that Vanderbilt participates in the American Heart Association's Fit-Friendly Companies program and has earned Platinum status throught encouragement of walking and other health habits.
