Scott Merrick reports on the 2006 National Educational Computing Conference, held July 5-7 in San Diego, Calif., and presents audio clips from it. One clip is from a poster session about Second Life; another is from an address by David Warlick on education for the future; a third is from a presentation at the Polycom exhibit by David Macquart of Global Nomads Group. Merrick also presents a "tech tidbit" on what happens when a computer is booted up. Songs from the Podsafe Music Network by Bill deRome, Amy Ayres, and Slackstring are also presented.
