The English Language Center (ELC)’s Participating in Campus Film Screenings resource series was developed as a way to provide English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners at Vanderbilt University the opportunity to better participate in campus film screenings. Our Participating in Campus Film Screenings guide provides learners with: 1) viewing strategies for maximizing understanding and retention; 2) approaches to film discussion participation; 3) phrases for productive discussions; and 4) campus resources to further students’ understanding of campus initiatives.
