Abstract
The article is an introduction to ten essays which will comprise a three-part special issue of the periodical Political Behavior. The essays are about partisanship in American politics. Geer summarizes the essays' topics and also dedicates the special issue to political scientist Warren Miller, whose contributions he discusses. The essays are revised versions of papers presented at a conference held at Vanderbilt in Oct. 2001.
