Abstract

This research examined the virtual work environment experiences of managers and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic at Stevens Institute of Technology. The research was guided by the Performance Management Systems (PMSs) framework published by Ferreira and Otley (2009). The study combined quantitative methods (close-ended survey of employees) and qualitative methods (manager interviews). The findings revealed that managers and employees had high quality interactions and weekly meetings were the source of the positive manager and employee relationships and solid work performance.
