Lawson continues to talk about the sit-in movement and other civil rights activity in Nashville in the early 60s and the influence the Nashville movement had across the country, as well as speaking more generally about the national movement. Along the way he also discusses the failure of the framers of the Constitution to address slavery, and talks about John and Robert Kennedy and their opposition to civil rights demonstrations such as the Freedom Rides. At the end Lawson responds to students' questions, which are difficult to hear.
